Afro Hair & Beauty Live

So on arriving at Alexandra palace where this prestigious event was held, even at an hour 'til closing, the turn out was incredible. There were people surrounding the numerous amount of stands showcasing some sort of product or another and models wondering round looking gorgeous as ever.

The mind wonders as to whether such an event ever just becomes repetitive and therefore dies down in glamour, but once again and at celebrating 25 years at the top (of what you ask? do some research!) the afro hair and beauty show managed to hurl in the crowds, about 8,500 to be precise and still put on such a great show.

With over 100 exhibitions, they didn't exactly lack in variety!

So see you next year!

Sleek Weave Wizard Awards 2008

Hair, The epitome of beauty! Well for some anyways.

The awards hosted by Corrie Actress Zara Abrahim, was, as they say, short but sweet! If at all worth going, it would have been to see the performer of the night, Jai Amore. As well as a very talented singer, this new talent was also abit of a comedian, engaging the audience with humour and song.

I for one was very impressed and look forward to hearing more from him in the future. For more info, check out: www.jaiamoreworld.co.uk.

Now back to the awards!!

The focus of the night of course were the individuals recognised from different salons for creative pieces they previously created to enter the competition. A big shout out to the Harriet Kessie hairdressing styling team for winning an award. www.harrietkessie.com

After mingling with the directors of Sleek hair, the winners, photographers and performers, we decided to call it a night! Off to rest for our next adventure!

Trend Spotter: Cyndia

I'm loving this look by Cyndia from Balham, who teams her mini cream cardie with a black slip and then uniquely customizes it with a midnight blue tulle piece and a tan waist belt.

Cyndia, We salute you!
