Trends Feature: Maggi Sottero evening gown

WOW! The Emmy Awards ("fashion show") was fantastic. For those of you who didn't see the coverage, check out my Emmy blog.

The Awards show inspired me to find glamorous evening pieces, so that's my weeks dedication.

Today, I've found you another beautiful Maggi Sottero evening gown. As I noticed alot of blues and bling at the awards, I found the dress that incorporated both.

This gorgeous encrusted piece is so chic and elegant, you can relax on the accessories. Although if you choose to over load on the diamond bangles like Kim Kardashian, I won't object.

62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

The Primetime Emmy® Awards, attended every year by fashion & television elites, highlights the excellence in national primetime TV. This year the awards celebrated its 62nd year and was held, yesterday, at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles (USA), where else!
Although we’re happy for all the winners (and nominees!), we’re really all about the fashion!!
Always an attendee of award ceremonies, big jewels and diamonds were big trends, while some of the usual dress trains were left at the station. (Thanks, we’ll be here all week!)

The gowns on show were gorgeous and the men in suits were seriously sexy but our picks of night has to be from Claire Danes, who glistened in her Swarovski crystals & sequin Giorgio Armani Prive bronze strapless gown and Lauren 'Lo' Bosworth, in her cute & simple Emerald green below the knee dress.

.Other fashion picks include:

‘Glees’ Lea Michele in a strapless navy mermaid Oscar de la Renta gown.

‘Mad Mens’ January Jones wore an electric-blue Versace corset gown

Christina Hendricks wore a pale lilac Zac Posen with feathers on the sleeves.

Sofia Vergara went a gold beaded Carolina Herrera dress.

Amy Poehler wore a blue Max Azria gown that was styled up with Stephen Russell diamond pins.

Jane Krakowski wore her custom Escada gown with floral Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

Elisabeth Moss wore a chic, one-shoulder gray Donna Karan dress.

Julie Benz wore a white Pamella Roland dress.

Edie Falco went very sleek in a one-shoulder, black Bottega Veneta.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus wore a black Narciso Rodriguez gown, funked up with turquoise Irene Neuwirth earrings and bracelets.

Tina Fey wore an Art Deco-style Oscar de la Renta gown

Eva Longoria also walked on the dark side in Robert Rodriguez.

Also in Black, Heidi Klum wore a micro-mini Marchesa dress.

Also in Marchesa on the night was Kim Kardashian wearing white jeweled halter gown with a stack of diamond bracelets and platinum cuff bracelet with 80 carats of champagne and white diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz.

Julianna Margulies wore an embellished blue L'Wren Scott gown.

Anna Paquin's black Alexander McQueen gown was matched by husband Stephen Moyer in a classic tux with on trend skinny tie.

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy wore a blue jacket & tie by designer Tom Ford.

All in all, the fashion choices were, for the majority made correctly, as far as we're concerned,  the list of the winners go on...

Hype up that hair!

Yesterday was a hectic, long but satisfying day. We styled the 'Hype Coiffure' hair salons portfolio shoot. With up to ten looks to style, the day was anything but boring.

As the hair looks will be featured in the Wahl Hair Awards, we cannot show you any of the hairstyles, but we love you so much that we put together a little bit of the backstage fashion pics (with their hair purposely cut off, of course!)

So look out for the full editorial pics, which we'll bring to you some time in November! (We can't wait that long either!)

Ladies (& Men) in Red

This week I'm creating a 'Ladies (& men) in Red' theme. Although the weather's not red hot, I was inspired by 'Good girl but really bad!' Rihanna's fiery new mane.

So this week I'm asking you to send in your red hot pics to: shine@twynkleloves.com or you can upload them on my facebook page, to show me your ways of using red in fashion. This can be in make up, hair, accessories, clothes or shoes.

I'm setting no limits and I'll upload my favourite pics to the blog daily. So make it hot! xx

Trends Feature: H&M Print Jumper Dress

Today I was out & about and spotted this simple but chic print jumper dress from H&M.

At £29.99, it's a steal and the only thing left to find are your shoes and clutch bag.

Try gold accessories and slim line belt for a sparkly finishing touch.

International Salute: Manish Arora

Today we feature ‘Indian’ fashion designer Manish Arora, who creates the ultimate dazzling collections. Mixing traditional Indian techniques with western silhouettes is what gives this master of fantasy his edge, using embroidery, applique and beading.
Aroras designs are not able to go unnoticed as the bright psychedelic colours have you hooked from the initial gaze, the sculptured pieces have you fantasizing about the perfect figure and his extravagant body art accentuates the fine details.

The attention to detail is what has brought Manish Arora so far, having shown at London fashion week since 2005 and Paris Fashion week since 2008 and has allowed him to collaborate with sportswear leader Reebok to produce the successful 'Fish Fry' line since 2005.

Regarded as the John Galliano of India, Manish Arora has a strong following and great recognition in the industry with five flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai and is stocked at 84 stores worldwide, including Dover Street Market, Harrods, Maria Luisa and Saks Dubai.

Having quickly conquered India, Arora is steadily making waves in the western world and it’s a good thing too because we’re so loving his designs.

Trends Feature: Killah dress and Steve Madden ankle boots

Todays pieces are only for the bold and the beautiful (I know you fit the bill!).

With bold prints and a cool quirkiness, this 'Killah' dress and Steve Madden ankle boots will have you feeling so sexy & confident, you'll want to wear them to do the house chores! (although I'd advice against it, soap spots are never a good look!)

Trends Feature: American Apparel

So on Saturday, I was out & about in shoreditch, when these beautiful pieces were flashing before me in American Apparel.

Because I love you and you know I do, I thought I'd go the extra mile for you. So for those of you who might find Shoreditch a stretch, I've found you a similar (but really so different but I loved it) version on their online store.

International Salute: Hallero

After a great week of looking at talented designers based here at home in London, this week we're focusing on international designers and style.

Today's featured designer is Nigerias Hallero

HALLERO, established in 2005 in Nigeria, creates beautiful women’s fashion.

Combining western designs with African (& western) fabrics, Hallero are able to create the ultimate Afro-chic woman’s outfit.
Having showcased their collection at Couture Fashion Week New York, Halleros platform to the international market was raised. The labels designer, Hallero Fafowora defines her designs as “simple with class”, balancing her surrounding inspirations with whatever’s in vogue.
Hallero designs are definitely not limited to African taste as the gorgeous designs and prints are inviting to any trendy lady, local or international. The mix of colours, sheer fabrics, star motifs and material rose buds is what gives this collection its official stamp of taste and glamour.
It is by no means simple in execution but intricate and all the way classy!
