I was shocked today to discover Amy Winehouse, Singer of "Back to Black", the hit single "Rehab" and five time Grammy Award winner who has long been known for her tempestuous relationship with drink and drugs and men, (She was married to Blake Fielder-Civil in May 2007 but they divorced 2 years later) died today.
The 27 year old smoky soul voiced singer was found dead today at her flat in north London, police said.
Her death is being treated as unexplained. "Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square shortly before 4:05 pm today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased," a police statement said.

It has been well documented how Amy struggled to beat her addictions with numerous stints in rehab and her disastrous attempt to return to the stage in Belgrade where she was too drunk to sing to some 20,000 people only more cemented her downward spiral of doom.
It's a sad, shocking but in the same way unsurprising fate of a woman known for her distinctive voice and beehive hairdo. As much as her addictions took away from her, she gave back in her music and her influence and spirit will live on.
RIP Amy!
Twynkle. Xx

I was so sad reading this earlier. She had such an amazing voice.
