August Inspirations: Can You Feel The Heat

Every month I create a mood board detailing my personal inspirations for that month. August started off with the only few hot days we would have for that month and saw the temperature rise in the fashion stakes with colour blocking at large.
The weather may have gotten colder but the month of August continually heated up with news of singer Amy Winehouse's death, Will and Jada's Marriage status, Cheryl Cole getting back with Ashley, Beyonces pregnancy and not forgetting the London (and other places in England) riots.

As a stylist, its important for me to find inspiration all around me and somehow incorporate it into my work, in essence August inspired a mood of drama and red hot fire for me a la Marilyn Monroe.

Lauren will be launching a new clothing range she is exclusively developing with Fashion Capital at Clothes Show Live this year and as much as I love her on the contagious series, this pic is just a-bit too fake for me!

I just bought these awesome ankle boots from H&M and realised they're like the baby version of my 'mummy' leather almost knee high boots I got from Topshop 4 years ago.

Inspired: GHD Fashion Themes

I love the fashion themes of the GHD editorial campaign. Set in 50's Glam,70's Boho and 80's New Wave and starring Katy Perry (She looks so much better with dark hair, don't you think!), these shots are immaculately styled (and the hair too! *wink*) and glamorous.

I must admit I'm really happy that my guilty pleasure Big Brother is back...yayyyy!
How gorgeous did Kerry Katona look for 2011's Celebrity Big Brother last night and I have to say this year has a-bit-of-an-alright housemate line up (at least we know more than half them this year!) so it's gonna be an eventful 3 weeks. Let the games begin!

Dressing From A Chandelier

I can get inspiration from just about anything around me so I'm amazed when I find things I MIGHT probably never have thought of. Cue Ms Luca Romanyi, founder of Lullatic, a contemporary jewellery project. Luca creates outstanding jewellery and fashion accessories but none has impressed me more than her Chandelier collection. She created a functional chandelier than can also be worn as multiple body accessories...Genius!

The New Face of Kate Moss

How gorgeous is this shot of Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace in the September issue of Vogue.

The resemblance and beauty of both is uncanny. I think the new generation supermodel has begun!
