Style Match: Rihanna Vs Rita Ora!

Well it's not exactly a fighting match because these ladies are individual in their own right but we do love a good celebrity pair off. So as I've noticed similarities between Rihanna and Rita Ora regularly, I thought it'd be great to see it all put together. Take a look at the the resemblances between the two singers apart from music and Jay Z and the style traits they have in common from head to toe.

Hair

Rihanna might be a chameleon but she definitely went through a blond faze and she did it well. Matching Rita in the curls department, the ladies work the shoulder pose well.

Nails

It's all the rage now to have the pointy talons and Rihanna and Rita are both part of the pack and both ladies favour the extravagant designs, no plain-Jane's here.

Monochrome

Both Ri ri and Rita do monochrome well, with Rihanna opting for a shorter version and Rita going sheer.

Orange All Over

Ri Ri and Rita both have beautiful glowing golden skin so orange works well on them. Choosing all
over orange is definitely a good choice.

All Black

Even in all black casual, Rihanna and Rita, work it.

The Pink Jacket

I love how Rihanna and Rita both opt for the pink jacket with attached belts ensuring waist cinching magic. The silver studs are must while they both still keep it cool.

Black And Yellow, Black And Yellow

What better way to brighten up an almost all black outfit than with pops of bright yellow. Whilst Rihanna chose a bright biker, Rita went with yellow boots and a banana print top.

Fringed Shorts

Proving that their styles are more in sync that they might even know, Rihanna and Rita donned similarly fringed shorts. Ri ri rocked hers on a beach, while Rita wore her matching shade on the red carpet with Jordan sneakers.

The Cut-Out Bikini

Even down to their beach wear, these ladies have got their cut-out halterneck black bikinis in sync.
Their toned bods aren't far apart either.

But even with all the style comparisons, it's still all love.

Pick Of The Day: A Standout Wedge!

A standout wedge is the ultimate summer outfit finish. It's like the icing on the cake, the polish of the shoe, the... you get the point. So it was inevitable that I wouldn't be able to pick just one.

TV BAFTAS 2012: The Fashion!

Last nights TV BAFTAS meant honouring those on our small screens but more importantly witnessing an array of fashion pieces and style surprises from the attendees. Standard floor length dresses and the colour blue were a favourite amongst the ladies while the men favoured the usual 'dark colours.
Take a look at the pics.

Dress Like A Star: Birthday Blogger

So Saturday 26th May was my birthday and I had a beautiful dinner with those close to me. It was a beautiful bright and sunny day (thank goodness) and the atmosphere was amazing. For the dinner, I wanted an outfit that was electric but not electrifying if you know what I mean.
So I pulled out my sample H&M dress that I'd been holding for 2 years and my faithful Salvatore Ferragamo gold link belt. My black clutch is vintage and my blazer was blazing, lol.
My outfit was a great way to show that black doesn't have to be a random add-on if you blend it in with another black accessory, in this case my shoes and clutch. As my birthday gift to you, I created a 'get the look' board, even doing style vs steal versions. Enjoy!

100% Human Hair Danielle Foster Clutch Bag- $266.50

I've been aware of designers using human hair in their fashion creations for the longest while but that's usually more in the Avant Garde creatives. But now if you want to get a hairy piece of the action, you can invest in more 'mainstream' everyday pieces.
This 100% human hair clutch bag by Danielle Foster is a more 'subtle' entry into the world of hairy fashion, although I can't help but think that hair would do more good on someones head, a bit creepy but oh well!

Style Faux Pas: Anne, Gemma & Victoria!

There's comes a time when we must call it like it is and even if generally we have our favourites, they are bound to get it wrong. So it pains me to call out these still gorgeous stars.

Anne Hathaway attended the Laphams Gala in NYC with a cropped hair style. Anne donned the cut for a new film role but that doesn't excuse the poor styling accompaniments. Such a short do will surely bring attention to the face and for that reason I feel Anne needed some ear and neck bling. Apart from that, the dress is nice and blue sky high courts would have worked better that the Mary-Janes.

Gemma Arterton is one foxy lady but that pairing of the gold cap White heels on the form fitting dress looks so random, it can't be explained. All I can say is... change it!

Lady Victoria Hervey didn't look like any lady I know in that silver splashed sheer get-up.
The dress itself is not so much of an issue but the so-called 'nude' underwear I can see waving at me through the dress. *tut tut* Victoria, those splashes should have been better strategically placed.

My Top 10 Looks Of The Week

It's that time of the week when the fashionable are brought forward and the stylish are saluted.
So I present my favourite looks.

Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis- Gucci Sketch

How awesome is this sketch by Gucci of Robert Pattinson in wardrobe as troubled billionaire Eric Packer for his upcoming movie, Cosmopolis. Robert, who was dressed exclusively by Gucci for the film looks stylish, distinguished and sophisticated.

My Cannes Film Festival Fashion Favourites

Cannes Film Festival from 16th to 27th May 2012 was always bound to be a fashion feast, think the Oscars but x9 days! The Cannes Red carpets never fails to be stocked with the hottest stars sporting the hottest styles, so I've picked my fashion favourites of the Film festival so far.

This has to be the most stunning I've seen Cheryl Cole look. Absolutely stunning in Stephane Rolland.

The Many Looks of Kelly Brook (At Cannes)

Check out the many looks (well it's actually only a few but the title sounded better!) of Kelly Brook at 2012's Cannes Film Festival. The luscious lady displayed her curves in an array of figure hugging dresses. The colour and length of Kelly's dresses along with her hair do's might have changed each time but this lady wasn't letting go of that 'right hand on the hip' pose.
